Malga Ciapela - Dolomiti

One of the many skiing trips our local sports club, TSV Auerbach
has on the agenda goes to the little village
Malga Ciapela up in he Dolomits, Italy. Leaving Auerbach at night we arrive in Italy just in time for breakfast and at the same time we are among the first skiers on the slopes. Our "Hausberg" the wonderful Marmolada, is a famous ski-resort, that with his 3.342 metre is considered the "Queen of the Dolomites", the highest mountain in the Dolomites. It represents one of the strategic connection points of the Dolomiti Superski carousel and it could be departure point for the famous and legendary day trip "Sella Ronda" or the new day trip on the 3.342 metre high Marmolada. Queen of the Dolomits, is situated just in front of our well kept hotel, Hotel Roy.

Everything is perfect, the area, you can't ski it within one week, be it the Sella Ronda , Arabba, or Civetta, the borderline of the First World War . Here the Italian and Austro-Hungarian forces fought in the Dolomites. There is an open air war museum at Cinque Torri. Have a look at the webcam for further information. http://www.dolomitisuperski.com/civetta/livecam.athx?ccode=it-IT
