Fotos aus Indien

Well here are some more pictures. As you can see we had a very diversified time over there.
Beaches, temples, restaurants, people, sunsets, taxis... well taxis is another story.
When getting on, you never know what they will charge you. This might be as much as 30 fold the real price. But a pujari in one of the temples told us the secrets of Mumbai´s taxi fares.
As Mumbais taxis are appr. 50 years old, the meters are also about half a century old. And so are the fares they show. Of course nowadays it is a bit different. So all taxidrivers have a list to calculate the correct price. You have to pay the price on the meter multiplied by 13. So if there is 5 Rs. on the meter you would have to pay 65 RS. Knowing this can save you a fortune. Anyway its is always cheaper to take a bus ...

By the way right now we are back home enjoying the beginning of springtime, some 18 - 20 degrees and a wonderful garden over here. Everything is so green and clean compared to dirty Mumbai. But we enjoyed it there too and it won´t have been the last time that India got hold of the two of us.
